Suzanne graduated from Oswego High School, where she served as class secretary, while her husband Michael served as class president. She attended Le Moyne College, Syracuse, NY. Mother of four, and Grandmother of five, the love and well-being of her family, especially her children and grandchildren, filled her life with abundant joy.
Suzanne and her devoted husband Michael were members of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Colesville. They enjoyed arts and culture & traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe. Devotion and kindness to the less fortunate was a hallmark of her spirit. Suzanne volunteered for a number of organizations, including: The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, The Sixth Street Shelter, and the Lehigh Valley Newcomers' Club. Suzanne's passions included equality, justice, women's rights, and immigration. Suzanne was active in the Four Seasons community, participating in gardening and recreation committees, and was known to all as a fun, energetic and thoughtful neighbor with a beautiful soul.
SURVIVORS In addition to her husband of 57 years; children: Peter and his wife Cheryl of Morristown, NJ; Daniel and his husband Grady Bailey of Rochester, NY; Ellen and her husband James Capps of Yorktown Heights, NY; and Amy Watts Giuffi and her husband Gene of Philadelphia; sisters: Sarah Caton of Earlville, NY; and Joan Roberts of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. She is preceded in death by her brother William Gorman. Grandchildren: Katie Bosak and her husband Steve, Kevin Watts, Julia Watts, Grace Capps and Jake Giuffi; nieces and nephews.
SERVICE Family and friends are invited to call 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Assumption BVM Catholic Church- 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike Bethlehem 18015. A memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. The interment at St. Peters Cemetery β Oswego, NY will be held privately.
