BAILEY, Jennifer T., age 69 of Dayton, departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Jennifer was born on December 5, 1946 to the late Annie and Thurman Burney Sr, in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Roosevelt High School and later received her GED. Jennifer was a homemaker who loved taking care of her children. She was baptized as a witness and was a faithful member of the Jehovah Temple, door to door teaching, distributing literature and attending conventions. Jennifer was a loving, giving and caring mother and proud grandmother. She was straight forward, committed, family oriented and loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, and playing spades and bid wiz. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 20 years, L.V. Bailey and (1) brother, Clifford (Ronnie) Burney. She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her legacy, (2) loving and devoted children, Lisa and Gerald Burney; (4) stepchildren, Davida Bailey, “Alice” Poke Horne, Della Hanely and Rick Moore; daughter-in-law, Patricia Burney; (3) grandchildren, Lakeisha Burney, Michael Ogle Sr. and Marcus Ogle; (3) great grandchildren, Michael Ogle Jr., Kyra Burney and Miaonia Ogle; (5) sisters, Jackie Nelson, Dara Debraux, Shirl (Alexander) Ogle, Anna (James) Hill and Ruth Whitney; (4) brothers, Robbie (Sharon) Burney, Thurman (Yolanda) Burney Jr., Allen (Anna Jean) Burney and Bernard (Tracey) Burney; a host of other family members and friends, including special friend, Big Jackie. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., SATURDAY, January 30, 2016 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Final disposition: Cremation.
