Gertrude was born on February 18, 1929 in Colorado to William L and Hazel (Van Meter) Epperson. On July 1, 1947, she married Loton Odell Clark, who preceded her in death in May 1999. They were married for almost fifty-two years. Gertrude loved to do ceramics, crochet, knitting, and painting. She has lived in Henryetta, OK, New Mexico, and Arizona. While living in New Mexico, Gertrude worked at the Bluewater Post Office. She also worked as a homemaker and kitchen aide.
Survivors include: her daughters: Dorothy Diane Stidman and Loretta Fay Wilson, both of Eufaula, OK; son in-law, Howard Coleman; six grandchildren: Penny, Melinda, Vanessa, Brandy, Phillip, and Bonnie; twenty-one great grandchildren; and nephews: Mike Epperson, of Tulsa, OK and Arthur Lee Epperson, Jr., of Globe, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Jimmy and Art Epperson; sister, Yvetta Epperson; daughter, Brenda Joyce Coleman, and grandsons: Wade Wilson and Frank Loton Barron.
