Wife of James "Jim" Leonard. Katie died of heart failure....Katie’s parents: George Helmuth (b. Jan. 14, 1799 Waldeck, Germany d. Feb.19, 1872, OVS 025780) and Magdalena Brenneman (b. 1806 d. Feb. 18, 1872) George and Magdalena had at least 10 children, of which Catherine was eldest. Her siblings also settled in the Waterloo-Perth area, and can be found in local census’ and on the IGI. Katie’s younger sister Mary, was married to Joseph Gingerich. Barbara Gingerich their daughter, married Christian Hesse. This is a link between the Hesse and Leonard families.
