Mr. Booker was very active for over 30 years in the Kincaid Sports Boosters and served as its President for a very long time. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, his dog and was a huge South Fork Ponies fan. He retired after 35 years working in the coal mines.
Surviving are one daughter Robin (Mitch) Kirchhoff of Kincaid, one son David (Amy) Booker of Jeisyville, two grandchildren Justin and Jacob Kirchhoff of Taylorville, one brother George (Diane) Booker of Decatur, IL along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Michelle in 1972, and his former wife Mary Ann.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday October 26, 2018 at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid. Deacon Jim Baxter will officiate. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery rural Edinburg, IL.
Visitation for Mr. David J Booker will be held one hour prior to his services at Masterson Funeral Home.
