Lora Marie Smith, 85, of Manteno, passed away Saturday (May 5, 2018) at her home.
She was born Aug. 26, 1932, in Loda, the daughter of Floyd Richardson and Helen Voorhees Richardson Bell. Lora married Paul G. Smith on June 17, 1950, in Michigan City, Ind. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Manteno. Lora was very active in her church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Patricia Smith, of Manteno, and Stephen and Lunmetta Smith, of Manteno; daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Phillip "Butch" Easter, of Peotone, Deborah and Thomas Strubinger, of Auburn, and Rebecca and Paul Souligne, of Manteno; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ralph Richardson.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at the First Baptist Church in Manteno. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, also at the church, with the Rev. David Peterman officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Manteno.
