Kathleen Ward Main, 79, of Lenoir, N.C. died May 16, 2007. She was the wife of Boyd Edgar Main that just passed away on February 5, 2007.
Mrs. Kathleen Ward Main, 79, of Lenoir, N.C. passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Caldwell County Hospice and Palliative Care.
She was born July 2, 1927 in Watauga County, to the late William Ward and Maude Tester Ward.
Mrs. Main was a member of Flemings Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Main and wife, Pam, of Lenoir, and Bill Main and wife, Faye, also of Lenoir; two daughters, Jeanette Main and husband, Gary, of Lenoir and Joan Snyder and husband, Jack, also of Lenoir; three brothers, Cecil Ward and wife, Peggy, of Hudson, Wiley Ward of South Carolina, and Charles Lee Ward and wife, Betty, of Tennessee; three sisters, Elenore Gragg and husband, Vernon, of Lenoir, Lucille Watson and husband, R.J., of Virginia, and Mary Willis Main and husband, Hurley, of Lenoir; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Boyd Edgar Main; three brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, May 20, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Hugh Whitfield, the Rev. Lester Honson and the Rev. Steve Butler officiating. Mrs. Main will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the services.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
