STAUCH/STOUCH/STOUGH: According to "Strayer Church & cemetery in Dover Township, York County, Pennsylvania," a church history (including newspaper clippings from 1935) and cemetery records compiled by John Strayer in 1957 (Salt Lake City, UT, USA: Filmed by the Genealogical Society of Utah, 1993--available at FHL), the original German-language cemetery records read: "Hans Georg Stauch he was born in 1717 in Germany, and he died in Dover Twp. and he is buried in the old Strayer Church Cemetery."
