Thomas Eugene "Sonny" Conner of Appomattox, Virginia

Thomas Eugene “Sonny” Conner, 78, of Appomattox, died Saturday, October 20, 2018. He was the loving husband of Nancy Lewis Conner.
Born in Appomattox, April 15, 1940, he was a son of the late Frances Torrence and Russell C. Conner. He was a member of the Lions Club, the Mt. Hope Hunt Club; a former member of the Appomattox Town Council, former Board member and Chairperson with the United Way of Central Virginia; and a former member of the Appomattox County Electoral Board. Sonny retired as an Assistant District Manager with Transco/Williams Pipeline.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Steven T. Conner and wife, Mindy and Richard C. Conner and wife Sharon; one brother, Russell A. Conner and wife, Wanda all of Appomattox; six grandchildren, J.T. Conner, John Conner, Sara Conner, Zack Moran, Kyle Moran and Mandy Moran.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary C. Garriss.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Kvasnicka officiating. A reception will follow the service.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
