She graduated from high school in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She married Larry Ford in 1982. She had lived in Wisconsin, Florida and Jennings, Oklahoma before moving to Bristow.
Shelby attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Wayside Chapel. She enjoyed singing specials in church, gardening and spending time with her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Larry Ford of the Bristow home; three children, Paula Darrow and husband A.J. of Tulsa, Oklahoma Heather Potts and husband Terry of Cleveland, Oklahoma, T.J. O’Connor and wife Crystal of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Seven grandchildren, K.D. Willcox, Persephone Willcox, Lex Darrow, Dylan Darrow, Korbyn Potts, Trinity Potts and Avery Potts. She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Grotbeck.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM, Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bristow with Pastor James Bokovy and Reverend Willis Morgan officiating.
