Marvin Ray Steele, 59, of Connersville, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, October 21, 2018.
He was born on June 5, 1959 in Connersville, Indiana to Reverend Irvin E. and Clista Steele – both who preceded him in death.
He was a 1977 graduate of Connersville High School. He had attended Ivy Tech. He loved to attend church, and was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Holiness Church in Connersville, Indiana. He also enjoyed attending the monthly fellowship music at the church. He had been employed at Visteon in Connersville, Indiana for more than 25 years. After the closing of Visteon, he worked at Schneider Electric/Square D in Oxford, Ohio for about seven years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends – including his best friend – Eric Hokey. Marvin especially loved his daughter’s dog – Milo. He enjoyed his many fishing trips to Louisiana and gardening. He will be best remembered for his great sense of humor.
He was a wonderful father to his daughter – Amy (Mike) Burdge. She resides in Connersville, Indiana. He will be greatly missed by her and her children – Michael and Brandon Adkins and Braedon Burdge and all of the rest of his family. He is survived by three sisters – Patricia (Rick) Stewart of Richmond, Indiana, Linda (Richard) Knowles of Oxford, Ohio, and Joyce Russell of Richmond, Indiana; 2 brothers – Reverend Ronnie (Beverly) Steele of Sanders, Kentucky and Wayne Steele of Connersville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother – Michael Steele.
The funeral service for Marvin will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Holiness Church, located at 1109 West 10th Street, in Connersville, Indiana. Pastor Jeff Hensley of the church will officiate the service. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Full Gospel Holiness Church. Burial in the Dale Cemetery in Connerville,IN.
