Robert "Bob" Donahue was born on May 12, 1924 in West Frankfort, Illinois, the son of Ed Donahue (1886–1975) and Sophia M (Shade) Donahue (1896–1977).
He attended Southern Illinois University and was a US Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 188th Field Artillery Battalion in Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge.
Bob was married in 1946 to Patricia Davis and was the proud owner of Beltone Hearing Aid Center in Nashville, Tennessee for 20 years. He was also a member of Crievewood Methodist Church and served as president of the Builders Class for several years.
Living in Nashville, he was 94 years old when he passed away on October 21, 2018.
Survivors included his wife, two married sons, a married daughter, five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Graveside Services were held in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.
