BEVERLY A. PRICE, 85, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon
of October 4, 2018 at her residence. Born July 12, 1933 in New
Castle, she was the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Taylor)
Connors.She is survived by her husband of 68 years, William
E. Price, Sr. whom she married February 11, 1950.
Beverly was employed with Second United Presbyterian
Church for 18 years and previously worked for the Lower
East Side Thrift Shop and Goodwill. She was the former
president of the PTA and member of the Greater Beneficial
Union and the Red Hat Society. In addition to bowling and
travel, Beverly enjoyed volunteering at the New Castle
Public Library and was active in their sewing and quilting group.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter,
Ronalyn (Edward) Eppinger of New Bedford, PA; two sons,
William (Jessica) Price, Jr. and Jeffrey Price, both of New
Castle; 7 grandchildren, Sheila (Ed) Wharry, Shaun (Melissa)
Eppinger, Shane (Diane) Eppinger, Holly (Randy) Raeburn,
Allica (Charlie) Reed, Jeff Price, Jr. and Carley Price; 12
great-grandchildren, 6 step-great grandchildren; and 2
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a half-
brother, Bob Shotwell.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 8, at the
R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, in
New Castle. A funeral service took place immediately
following visitation with the Rev. Marsha Parrish
officiating.
