Everett L. Long, 62, died in a local hospital Wednesday after a brief illness, A native of Tennessee Mr. Long had lived in Madera 10 years. He was a member of the Madera Post of American Legion. Surviving are his wife Alice, Madera, son John of Los Angeles sister Mrs. Gertrude Paddock of Kansas, four grandchildren and two nephews. Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock In the Jay Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
