On August 30 1941; Gregory Sr was on his way home, after attending his promotion party on board his tug boat docked in Honolulu Harbor. At the intersection of Charles Street and Kapahulu Avenue his was struck by two
different cars, as a result he was deceased upon arrival at Queens Hospital.
