The community was shocked Tuesday when Mrs. L.H. (Hick) Johnson passed away unexpectedly following an operation, death coming supposedly from shock followed by a hear attack. She had been in fair health for some time and was not considered in any immediate danger up until a few minutes prior to her passing.

Mrs. Johnson was born at Robert Lee, Texas, on May 31st, 1901 and was married to L.H. Johnson on Armistice Day, 1923. She united with the Methodist Church shortly after her marriage and since that time has been a faithful worker for His kingdom.

She is survived by her husband and three children, Mason, Fisher and Raymond George. Besides these she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.B. Patterson and a number of brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held from the First Methodist Church yesterday with the Rev. E.B. Bowen conducting. A large crowd was present to say their respects to their departed friend and neighbor, and all join in extending the bereaved family united sympathy in their great loss.
