Paul Junior Gardner, 63, of Mill Creek, Mount Hope, WV died on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Born June 30, 1945 at Laurel Creek, WV he was the son of the late Cecil Arvil and Rosetta Mae Ward Gardner. He was a debarker for the Jim C. Hamer Company at Garden Grounds. Mr. Gardner was a member of the First Baptist Church at Scarbro where he served on the Board of Trustees and was a US Army veteran. A brother, Lee Gene Gardner and a sister, Nancy Lee Gardner preceded him in death. Survivors include wife, Rena Gay Gardner; three daughters, Annette Fay Gardner of Saint Albans, April Rena Christy and husband, Don Edward, Jr. of Mill Creek and Rhonda Ann Gardner of Mill Creek; two brothers, Donald Gardner of Prince and Ronald Gardner of Layland; two sisters, Linda Garrison of Beckley and Debbie Adkins of Layland and by eight grandchildren, Brad Foster of Mill Creek, Margaret Toney of Saint Albans, Eric Toney of Saint Albans, Alec Toney of Saint Albans, Ashley Gardner of Mill Creek, Amanda Gardner of Mill Creek, Josey Christy of Mill Creek and Madison Kincaid of Mill Creek. .
