MAYETTA -- Arthur E. Eby, 92, Mayetta, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Eby was a farmer and stockman and had worked for the sale barn in Emmett for seven years.
He was born July 6, 1908, at Mayetta, to Ora and Anna Zirger Eby. He graduated from Circleville High School.
He married Mildred Wells on April 17, 1938, in Soldier. She survives.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Eby and Gene Eby, both of Mayetta; a daughter, Leetha Smith, Osawatomie; a sister, Josephine Shupe, Holton; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton. Burial will be at the Rossville Cemetery. Relatives will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Potawatomi United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
