He was born in Seattle (Ballard) to Tallie and Fannie (Goff) Jones. He graduated from Ballard High School in 1929. On June 19, 1937, he married Almaria Loretta Farrar in Yakima. He was a planner and estimator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard before retiring in 1969. Mr. Jones was a member of the Rock Club of Bremerton, the Gem and Mineral Society and the Fuchsia Club. He was a rock hound and enjoyed wood working and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle McWain; and his brother, Elmer Jones.
