Bill was an Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the South East Christian Church in Louisville.
After owning several retail business, he became a Commercial Sales Agent for Paul Semonin Co. in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Emily (Rogers) Abernathy; son, Charles Abernathy; brother, George Abernathy; sister-in-law, Gladys Abernathy; several nieces, 1 nephew, several great nieces & nephews.
