Elbert “Sie” Dillon, 84, of Peach Creek, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his residence.

He was born June 21, 1934 in Harts, WV a son of the late Robert & Spicie (Evans) Dillon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Dillon, three brothers, Tennis (MIA-Korea), Emmett and Martin and two sisters, Florene and Minnie.

Sie was a fun-loving and humble man who loved to talk and share all his many stories of adventures. He was always trying to make people laugh. Sie was married to the love of his life, Betty, for 57 years and has been missing her for the past 7 years, for theirs was a sweet love story. He loved his children, grandchildren and family, his grandchildren held a special place in his heart.

Everyone knew Sie for his talent for playing music, he loved it. He played the guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, dobro and many more but his favorite was picking the guitar and singing. Sie also made instruments and spent a lot of time studying how to create that special sound. He made guitars, banjos, mandolins, fiddles and dulcimers, although he would never boast about these talents, to him, it was just fun.

Sie will be extremely missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Yvonne (Ronnie) Williamson and Susan (Keith) Ebersohl; two sons, Elbert Ray (Missy) Dillon and Robert Dillon; one brother, Mervil Gene Dillon; fifteen grandchildren, David Scaggs, Travis Scaggs, Randy (Lauren) Reed, Jessica (Andrew) Dillon, Brianna (Zach) Gillenwater, Ryan Queen, Robert Dillon II, Tiffany (Jon) Mata, Chelsea (Cyrus) Satarzadeh, Tayla (Andrew) Workman, Brittany Eplin, Ashley Hatfield, Beth Hatfield, Shane Hiroskey, and Dawson Lowe; fifteen great-grandchildren, Gracie, Chloe R., Dominic, Jaylin, Carter, Parker, Haylee, Chloe D., Bryson, Akeelah, Mikiah, Jazmine, Maddie Jo, Karson, and Elmira; and a host of nieces and nephews.
