Wife of James A. Price
Sandra Lennon Price, of Wilmington, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born in Wilmington, April 22, 1944 the daughter of the late Byron Thurston Lennon and Naomi Jefferson Lennon. Sandra was born and raised in Wilmington and graduated from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA. In later years she was a member of the Parents Council of Mary Baldwin College while her daughter attended. She was a former member and Elder of St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church and in recent years became a member of First Christian Church. While her children were in school she dedicated her time to teaching at St. James Preschool and served with the PTA and Junior League of Wilmington. Until her passing she was a long time associate at Kingoff's Jewelers where she had a talent for helping people with the special moments in their lives. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially on Wrightsville Beach. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James A. Price III, a son, James A. Price IV and his wife Suzanne Underwood Price of Raleigh, a daughter Alesandra Price Dombroski and her husband Anthony T. Dombroski III, and four grandchildren, Victoria "Queenie" Price, Alesan Price, Anthony T. Dombroski IV, and Price Jefferson Dombroski. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Andrews Market Street Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial s may be made to Paw's Place, the American Heart Association, or the Boys and Girls Homes of NC at Lake Waccamaw. Andrews Market Street Chapel
