Margaret Anne Reid-Powell, 82 of Amarillo passed away on October 21, 2018.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Polk Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Deckard as officiant. Private burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Anne was born July 7, 1936 in Amarillo to Thad and Margaret Ansley. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1954. She was a third generation life time member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Life-Together Sunday School Class. Anne was owner of Don R. Reid Inc.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don R. Reid; son, David Powell; and grandsons, Charlie Ansley and Elliott Crews; and a great granddaughter, Ansley Roye.
Anne is survived by her husband of 12 years, Michael Powell; her children, Margaret Celeste Couture and husband, Bill, Branch Anderson Reid, Julie Shannon Caldwell and husband, Jack, and Pat Powell and wife, Becky, all of Amarillo; her brother, Charles Ansley and wife, Angela of Plano; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Family suggests memorials be made to Polk Street United Methodist Church Building Fund or BSA Hospice of the SW.
Family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 pm today, at the funeral home.
