DICKSON, Larry D., 69, passed away May 15, 2010 following a six month battle with brain cancer. He was born in Raymond, Washington and raised in Milwaukie, Oregon. Larry served in the United States Air Force at Davis Monthan AFB, in Tucson where he met his wife, Gwyn in 1963. He worked at Sacramento Peak Observitory for ten years and then moved back to Oregon where he worked at Bonneville Power for 20 years until retiring as Engineering Manager. As a resident of Tucson for the last ten years, Larry was actively involved as a volunteer in the Disaster Services for the American Red Cross. Survived by wife of 46 years, Gwyn Dickson, Tucson; daughter, Peggy Phillips, Canby, Oregon; daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Scott Turner, Tucson, AZ; daughter and son-in-law, Dayl and Jim Pytel, White Salmon, Washington; his grandchildren, Leah, Luke, Drew, Shanika, James and Zepher. Memorial donations may be made to the Southern Chapter of the American Red Cross or Carondelet Hospice.
