Tina Marie Austin-Jackson, 48, formerly of Ames, died unexpectedly August 29, 2018, in Omaha, Nebraska.
Tina was born on July 18, 1970, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Sandra and David Austin. Tina attended St. Cecilia Elementary School, Welsh Jr. High School and Ames High School, class of 1988, and University of St. Thomas.
Inspired by her love for her Irish heritage, Tina’s gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warm and welcoming smile and the caring she showed to those she met. Her greatest joy was her two daughters, Holly and Chelsea, followed only by a distant second, the Chicago Cubs.
Tina is survived by her parents, Sandi and Dave Austin, of Ames; daughters, Holly and Chelsea Jackson, and their father, Lee Jackson, of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, Steve (Tanya) Austin, of Ames; aunt and godmother, Ruth (Chet) Brown, of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews, Riley (Kaitlyn) Austin, Ty Austin, Alli Austin, and great-niece, Millicent Austin, all of Ames; cousins, Jason (Tamera) Sims, of South Elgin, Illinois, Jeff (Bridget) Sims, of Coronado, California, Christina (Paul) Jester, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Corina (Jake) Eufinger, of Watertown, Wisconsin, Christopher (Bridget) Brown, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and Caroline and Liam Sims, of Coronado, California.
She was preceded in death by her infant siblings, Patricia and Michael Austin; godfather, Rick (Margo) Sims; grandparents, Mary Jane and Dick Sims, and Gertrude and Clarence Austin; and her in-laws, Marie and Charles Jackson.
