Earl William Hunter, 94, of Mountain View, Missouri died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at The Bluffs Assisted Living, Columbia, Missouri. He was born December 5, 1923 in Montauk, Missouri, the son of Carl William and Bernice Etna (Medlock) Hunter.

Earl was united in marriage on August 27, 1960 in Mountain View, Missouri to Lola Faye Davidson, who precedes him in death. He is also preceded by his parents, wife Doria, and great grandchild, Micah Braatz.

Survivors include one son, George Hunter, of Rolla, MO; four daughters, Patricia Keller and husband, Gary, of Holland, MI, Joyce McDonald and husband, Joe, of Sioux City, IA; DeLola Steen and husband, Christopher, of Rolla, MO, and Fayetta Hunter of Mountain View, MO; six grandchildren, Tricia, Julie, Jonathan, Sarah, Lesa, and Clayton; and nine great grandchildren.

Earl honorably served in England during World War II. He enjoyed attending church and playing guitar and harmonica. He had a knack for tinkering and enjoyed working on projects. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Interment with military honors will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.
