Phyllis A. (Nelson) Abbott, 78, of Olmsted Township, Ohio and formerly of Aurora, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2017 following a long illness. Born in Aurora on January 8, 1939, she was the youngest daughter of Harold and Mayme Nelson.
Phyllis worked part-time outside the home as a Darkroom Technician for a Cleveland area newspaper for several years, then returned to work full-time as an administrative assistant for Nationwide Insurance Company. While working for Nationwide, she returned to school and earned her Insurance Agent license
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Ken Hoch and sister Doris Oleson.
