ILLIOPOLIS - Keith L. Montgomery, 67, of Illiopolis died 5:40 a.m. Wednesday (May 16, 2007) in his residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, with the Rev. George Heinemann officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Mr. Montgomery was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Mount Auburn, the son of Glenn and Alberta Patton Montgomery.
He was a county supervisor for Health Care and Family Services for Sangamon County. He was a former member of the Mount Auburn Lions Club, Mount Auburn Masonic Lodge and Ansar Shrine, Springfield.
Surviving are his companion, Gloria Wicker of Illiopolis; mother, Alberta Spain of Mount Auburn; sons, Scott Montgomery and wife Marcy of Mount Auburn; Kevin Wicker and wife Tracy of Decatur; daughters, Rochelle Montgomery and husband Mark of Mount Auburn; Barbara Bledsaw and husband James of Harristown; Cathy Beck and husband Kevin of Illiopolis; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Eva Scurlock and husband Bob of Buffalo; Doris Fishburn and husband Leonard of Mechanicsburg.
He was preceded in death by his father; second father, Earl Spain; son, Todd Montgomery; sister, Prudy Ealey; and brother, Bob Spain.
