In remembrance of an earth sent Angel, Judy Kay Morton, 65, of Gandeeville, and born in Cleveland, Ohio, has gone to walk the Streets of Gold along with her parents, Harry and Cora Morton; brothers, Herman Holley and Michael L. Morton; ex-husband, Larry E. Hamrick; granddaughter, Emma Rose Hamrick; nephew, Michael Morton; and great-granddaughter, Haley Nevaeh Hamrick.
Judy was a retired home healthcare professional, a graduate of Mentor High School, in Cleveland, a graduate of the University of Charleston and was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Cross Lanes First Church of the Nazarene. She was also a loving aunt, cousin, niece and friend to many people and will never be forgotten. She loved her family, they always came first, and she also loved her church.
Judy was a beloved mother to her daughters, Melanie Hamrick Watkins and Ann Marie Hamrick Peck and her husband, Robert and son, Larry G. Hamrick and his wife, Crystal. Surviving also are her brother and sister-in-law, Harry 'Butch' and Joanne Morton; sister, Margaret Holbrook; sister-in-law, Karen Morton; grandchildren, Brittney Bailey (Kenny), Gary Schwab, Krisha Facemyre, Anthony Facemyre (Destiny), Sierra Parsons, Larry G. Jr., Hannah, Prestyn and Jacob Hamrick and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2018, at Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with our sister and Angel in Christ Rev. Lou Bender officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Friday.
