Michael Rey Luna, 26 of Lubbock passes away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born September 27, 1991 to Ramon and Regina (DeLeon) Luna in Lubbock. Michael attended Monterey High School and was a member of Christ the King Cathedral Catholic Church. He was an avid sports fan of the Dallas Cowboys, SA Spurs, NY Yankees and the Texas Longhorns. Michael loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Mi'Leah, who he loved more than anything.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter; parents; grandmothers, Emma Luna, Raquel Cardenas both of Lubbock; girlfriend and mother to his daughter, Alexus Smiley of Lubbock; sisters, Noel, Mireya and Miriam Luna of Lubbock; great grandmother, Rosa Hinojosa of Levelland; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Santos Luna, Sr., Bobby G. Cardenas; and his uncle, Sam Luna.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the Venue on Broadway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Christ the King Cathedral Catholic Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
