The Fairbury Gazette-Feb. 9, 1911
Reason Bevington died at his home five miles North-west of Reynolds Friday evening. Mr. Bevington was taken sick with Brights disease while in Canada, early in the fall and came back here at the advise of his physician, in November. Since that time his health has failed rapidly and for a short time he was confined to his bed. Tuesday night about midnight he realized the end was near and called W. H. Barnes from Fairbury to write his will.
Mr. Bevington came to Nebr., 1869, and homesteaded the place on which he died. His wife passed away in 1892. Ten children survive him of which four are living in Canada. Rev. Geo. Morrison preached the funeral sermon at the home Sunday at two o'clock. He was buried in Rose Creek cemetery. The remains were followed to the cemetery by the largest funeral procession ever seen in this part of the county.
