Lisa was born in Patterson, New Jersey and moved to Pa. with her husband in 1988 following their marriage. She worked as a Civil employee at Picatinny Arsenal in NJ for 15 years as a production controller, retiring when she had children. When her children started school, she became a paraprofessional in the Pleasant Valley School District working with special needs children for 18 years.
Lisa is survived by a daughter, Geena (King) Brink and her husband Thaddeus of Pittsburg; a son Joseph King of Stroudsburg; a 2 brothers, Mark Malfa and his wife Lisa of Effort; and Salvatore Malfa of Scottsdale, Arizona. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Mayard King; sister-in-law Thea King: and her brother and sister-in-law Douglas and Carol King. She found pride in her 8 nieces and 2 nephews and bountiful joy in her 9 grand nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Emmanuel and Anne Malfa.
There will be a viewing from 5-7:30, Sunday, Oct 21 at Kresge Funeral Home, 1763, Route 209, Broadheadsville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Monday Oct 22, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic church in Gilbert, followed by her burial at Buena Vista Cemetery.
A Lucheon will be held back at the church after services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, PO Box 38, Broadheadsville, Pa. 18322. condolences at kresgefuneralhome.com.
