Charles R. Bartlett age 88, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018. He is survived by his son, David (Michele) Bartlett; daughter, Terri (Ike) Mathur; eight grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; sister, Doris Midkiff and brother, Cliff (Mary Lou) Bartlett. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Phyllis A. Bartlett; son, Gerald Bartlett; brother, Norman Bartlett and sister, Betty Haskins. Charles was born on September 29, 1930 in Kentucky to the late Charlie and Laura Bartlett. He retired from Metal Impact Extrusion Corporation as Senior Vice President and General Manager. Chuck was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman. He loved 'da Bears' and the White Sox and was a 'rabid' Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan. Chuck was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Private family services will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to 'Charlie's Angels' and the rest of his wonderful caregivers for their exceptional kindness and compassion and also to the staff at the Community Hospital Outpatient Oncology Department.
