Tony Dwight Walker, age 94, of rural Ada, OK passed away on October 19, 2018, at the Oklahoma Veterans Center, Norman, Oklahoma. He was born February 6, 1924, to Thelmer Dwight and Maude (Pullin) Walker at home near Vamoosa, Oklahoma.

He attended the lower grades at Dora and high school at Vamoosa. He married Rosemary Esther Schwartz in November, 1947, at St. Paul Park, Minnesota and shortly after they made their home on a farm near Ada, Oklahoma.

Tony farmed for many years and retired from his job as road grader operator, bulldozer operator and bookkeeper for Pontotoc County District 1.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II from March, 1943, until his discharge in January of 1946. As a soldier he participated in the Normandy Invasion and Battle of the Bulge among other duties.

He was a long time active member of Gaar Corner Free Will Baptist Church and attended Stratford Free Will Baptist Church prior to his death.

Survivors include his wife Rosemary of the home, daughters Cheryl and David Haley, Independence, Ks, Jan and Chuck Devereaux, Ada, OK and Marlys and Lanny Miller of Perry, Oklahoma; and sons Rance Walker, Vanoss, OK and Royce Walker, Vanoss, OK and daughter-in law Beth Walker, Vanoss, OK. Sisters Alogene Henderson and Onnie Mae Elliott. Ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kyle Walker and Eldon Walker and a sister Anna LaFern Walker.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Konawa Cemetery with Rev. Lewis Perry Officiating.
