Patrick “Pat” Stone, of Moore, OK, passed away October 19, 2018, at the age of 67. He was born August 19, 1951, in Elk City, OK, to William Thomas & Beulah Genieve (Clawson) Stone.
Pat graduated from Southeast High School, Class of 1969. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and received an Honorable Discharge for services rendered to his country. Pat retired from GM after 30 years of service, and then worked at H & R Block in maintenance for 3 years. He loved to hunt and take vacations. Pat was an avid OU football fan. He enjoyed cooking, baking and collecting – he loved a good deal. Pat was always there for his family. He loved his grandchildren dearly. Pat was very talented at woodworking and his grandkids would always say, “Papa can fix it. He loved life and laughed hard if people asked him if he was Sam Elliott. Pat will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by 2 children, Courtney Stone & Leticia, and Joshua Stone & wife, Michlene; 3 grandchildren, Jolene Stone, Yancee Lyles, and Checotah Castleberry; life-partner, Lynann Mooney, Leo Mooney III, and Tamra Mooney; 1 brother, Mike stone & wife, Angie; and a host of other family members and friends. Pat is preceded in death by his parents, William & Beulah Stone; brother, Billy Stone; sister, Vicki Stone.
The family will be receiving visitors from 6pm-8pm, Monday evening at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, 120 South Broadway, Moore, OK. Funeral Services for Pat will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel, located at 6001 NW Grand Blvd., in OKC. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, OK.
