Jack Lee Cannon 67, of Ovalo died Thursday, October 18, 2018 in an Abilene care center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Rogers Cemetery with Brother Vic Meyer and Brother Larry Hooper officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home in Clyde. The family will receive friends at his sister, Shanie Cunningham’s home, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Jack was born January 27, 1951 in Abilene to Doyle and Betty Cannon. He graduated from Clyde High School and attended Tarleton State University. He married Brenda Brzozowski in Abilene on December 4, 1971. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Clyde.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Brenda Cannon; two sons, Wesley Cannon and wife Jolee of Oplin and Justin Cannon and wife Jennifer of Buffalo Gap; sister Shanie Cunningham and husband Steven of Abilene; grandchildren, Dawson, Lanie, Kenadee, Weston, Dustin and Joseph; great granddaughter, Paisleigh, nieces Mackenzie and Peyton and many other relatives and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jody Cannon and grandson D.J. Cannon.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or your favorite charity.
