Marjorie (Swalls) Quick, 76, of Hymera, IN made her final journey on October 17, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Terre Haute Regional Hospital with family and friends at her side. Marjorie was born in Lewis, IN to the late Clarence “Bill” and Elva Belle (Beddow) Swalls on January 13, 1942.

She married James E. Quick on December 8, 1962 and from this union were three sons Mark (deceased) and wife Melodie (May) Quick, Jerry and wife Connie (Tanner) Quick and their sons Logan and Landon, son Michael (deceased) and his wife Lydia (Fulk) Quick and their daughters Olivia an Hayley Quick, a daughter Kimberly (Quick) Morrison and her husband Shane and their children Lincoln and Sydney Morrison.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Johnson, brothers Frank, Donald, and Bill Swalls.

She was a graduate of Blackhawk High School and was later employed at Packard shirt and American Latex. Alongside her husband, the Rev. James Quick they dedicated their lives pastoring the Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Hymera for 43 years and had just retired on April 1, 2018. They were known to love people as Christ loves the church. Her heartbeat was being a housewife and a Mother. She was an accomplished seamstress and also a collector of Hot Wheel cars. Marjorie and Jim could easily be found at…you guessed it, Sullivan McDonald’s where they have numerous friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Hymera. A home going service will be on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel, Sullivan, Indiana.
