Left to cherish her memory are her devoted and loving husband and soulmate, Harold M. Montgomery; son, Tim Montgomery and wife, Sharon; grandson, Grayson M. Montgomery; and sister, Susan Conner.
Karen earned a master’s degree in education from Radford University and was a talented and dedicated teacher in Roanoke County for 30 years. She took great pride in being an educator and was beloved by her students.
She was a faithful and long-time member of Goodwin United Methodist Church, serving on many committees throughout the years. Karen was also a member of the Salem Chapter of the Eastern Stars.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org in Karen’s memory.
