Winifred age 56 born in Kentucky also in Iowa for 18 years. Winifred M. Marshall age 13 born in Ohio and in state for 13 years. Elizabeth Bledsoe age 23 born in Kentucky and widowed. She has been in Iowa for 22 yrs. Below her is her child Caroline J. age 4 born in Iowa. The Census does not show "relationships".

1860 Census in Pleasant Grove Township notes John Bledsoe to be age 58 born in Kentucky and wife Winifred age 59 born in Kentucky. Matilda Marshall age 17 born in Iowa. Again "no relationships on this census.

Feb 20, 1868 Winifred M. Marshall marries Virgil S. Bledsoe in Henry County, Iowa

1870 Census in New London, Iowa notes head of household as Virgil S. born in Kentucky and age 29. His occupation is that of "carpenter". Wife Matilda W. age 24 born in Ohio and then the child Nettie born in Kentucky age 1 year.

1877: Virgil S. passes away on November 11 and is found to be buried at Ghent Consolidated Cemetery in Ghent Kentucky. His parents are Edward D. and Emaline Bledsoe.

1880 Census in New London, Iowa notes head of household as W. M. (female) Winifred Matilda age 37 born in Ohio and widowed. Her father born in Ohio and mother in Indiana. There are two children at home. Nettie age 11 born in Kentucky and Virgil S. age 5 born in Iowa. There is a grandmother noted as "W" Bledsoe living here and born in Kentucky and both her parents born in Kentucky.

The 1900 census notes Winifred Matilda to now be W. M. Woolverton (she has remarried but is now widowed yet again) and she is living with her daughter Nettie and husband Charles Claar in Kane, Pottawattamie, Iowa. Nettie's brother Virgil S. is single and noted to be living in the household as well...he is age 24. In this census W. M. Winifred Matilda is noted to have given birth to 4 children with two living at the time of this census. This makes total sense now that both Edna and Infant daughter were her children.

Mystery solved of these two sweet children's parents.
