ELI C. MOORE, SR., 86 of Memphis, husband of Josephine G. Moore, retired forklift operator for Firestone Tire and Rubber, United States Army veteran and 33rd Degree Mason Widow Son Masonic Lodge #137, died on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 2-4 p.m. at Harrison's Funeral Home Chapel, 2647 Carnes Avenue. In state on Monday, May 14 from 10-10:55 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 3410 James Road, where he was the oldest member, deacon and choir director. Funeral ceremony at 11 a.m., Reverend James Van Buren officiating. Interment to follow at 1 p.m. with Military Honors in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road. He also leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Eli C. Moore, Jr.; three daughters, Flora M. (Donnis) Lampton, Barbara J. (Willie) Banks and Irma L.
