Mr. Rodney Ray Taylor, age 76, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 at his residence in Repton, AL.

Mr. Taylor was born in Iroquois, IL and had been a resident of Repton for the past 48 years. He graduated from high school in Kentland, IN and enlisted in the Navy when he was 17 years old. He retired from the Navy as an E7, and went to work for State Highway Department. He has been married to his wife Bernice since 1963. Mr. Taylor was a member of Repton Masonic Lodge #575 in Repton, and was a member of Baggett's Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Taylor of Repton; a son, Marc Taylor of Repton; a daughter, Angie Pruitt of Repton; one sister, Rozanne Sanders of Indiana; six grandchildren, Brittney Sheffield, Megan Nichols, Jonathan Taylor, Maria Reis, Cole Pruitt, and Diago Reis; five great-grandchildren, Kendyle Sheffield, Erik Sheffield, Hunter Nichols, Mackenzie Nichols, and Shepherd Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3 P.M. at Baggett's Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Norman Brown and Rev. Larry Renfroe officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Baggett's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Baggett's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday from 2 P.M. until service time at 3 P.M.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Baggett, Don Baggett, Caleb Fussell, Terry Nichols, Randall Sheffield, Farrell Baggett, Shannon Cooper, and Simmey Brickhouse.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Salvation Army in Mr. Taylor's memory.
