Lisa Fleming, an Alabama woman who appeared on the reality show "My 600-lb Life" earlier this year, has died. Fleming, a Mobile resident, was bedridden and weighed over 700 pounds when she decided to become involved with the show. In the show, people suffering from extreme obesity are treated by Houston-based surgeon Younan Nowzaradan, aka "Dr. Now."
Fleming appeared in the show's sixth season, which began airing in January. In her initial appearance, a crew of Mobile Fire-Rescue Department personnel helped move her out of her house so that she could be taken to Houston.
She reportedly struggled with her prescribed regimen but lost 200 pounds, enabling her to stand on her own for the first time in years.
