Melody Lee Anderson was born Feb. 3, 1979 in San Diego, Calif., and passed away Oct. 9 in Tullahoma after a courageous battle with cancer.

Melody graduated from Tullahoma High School and earned associate degrees from Ricks College in Idaho and Motlow College, McMinnville campus. She served an 18- month mission in Arizona for The Church of Jesus Christ Latter- Day Saints. Melody also served a short time in the U.S. Air Force.

She is survived by her parents John David Anderson of Cowan and Ellen Louise Anderson of Tullahoma, brothers Eric Benjamin Anderson of Marathon, Fla., and Scott Isaac Anderson of Manchester, nieces Erica Kaylee Anderson of Tullahoma, Madelyn Grace Anderson of Manchester, and nephew Hayden Cunningham of Manchester.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Farris Samuel Anderson and Lelia Francis Young Anderson, John W. McArthur and Jean Follrath Duncan.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 13, at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter- Day Saints. The online guestbook can be signed at www.tullahomafuneral home.com
