When he was a young boy, the family relocated to northern California where he grew up enjoying all the outdoor pleasures of rural life. He graduated from Corning Union High School in 1968. Mike moved to Red Bluff after graduation to work with his parents at Modern Cleaners. When they retired, he purchased the Cleaners and remained the owner and operator until he retired.
