Mrs. Ann McDaniel, age 91 years, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away October 16, 2018 at Westphalia Hills Care Center. She was born July 12, 1927, to Robert and Leona Wadley of Jefferson City, Missouri. On February 15, 1947, Ann married Charles McDaniel, who proceeded her in death on July 22, 2010.

Ann was a life long resident of Jefferson City. After graduating from high school, she was employed by Bell Telephone Company, then went to work with Jordan & Kolb Insurance and up to her retirement, as Office Manager with Paul Kolb Insurance & Realty. Ann was a member of the First Christian Church; an active member with the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Post 1003; the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary, Aerie #2693; and the American Legion Auxiliary, Roscoe Enloe Post 5.

Ann always had a friendly smile and loved to socialize with everyone. She enjoyed many friends and lived an active, full life. Ann loved to travel, especially on ocean cruises, enjoying many trips with her husband to the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, Panama Canal, and Mexico. For several years, they would travel to Zapata, Texas where they had a second home and lived part time.

Survivors include two sons: Terry McDaniel and Patrick McDaniel of Jefferson City; one daughter: Pamela Carnine (husband Rolla) of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren: Shane McDaniel (wife Shaina), TJ McDaniel (wife Kim), Trevor McDaniel, Katy McDaniel, Amy Harbeck and Rachel Harbeck; and three great grandchildren: Madeline McDaniel, Taylor McDaniel, and Dodge McDaniel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 63 years, and two brothers: Robert and Forrest Wadley.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Samaritan Center or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with Rev. Kim Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
