Catherine was born January 14, 1878, the daughter of John F. Hauck (b.1852) and Mary Fuerstenberg (b~1856).
She married Nicholas Aloysius Adams on Feb. 17, 1903 in Grant County, Wisconsin. They made their home in Clayton County, Iowa, where they had at least seven children: Marcus P. (1904-1920), Raymond M. (1906-1991), John Quincy (1908-1982), Elmer George (1910-1991), Grace Elizabeth Novinska (1913-2012), Margaret C. Lorenz (1915-2015), and Marcella Mary Rigdon (1917-2010).
After the death of her husband in 1928, she moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family. She died on Nov. 20, 1966 and was buried in St. Clements Catholic Cemetery.
