Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Church of God of Prophecy, South Gadsden, for Mary Magdalene Wagnon Hester, 76, U.S. Highway 411 North, Gadsden, who died Thursday, Oct. 13, 1994. The Revs. Mitchell Isbell and Wayne Greg and Bishop Eugene Weakley will officiate. Burial in Owens Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Hester was a native and life-long resident of Etowah County. She was a charter member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She is survived by her husband, Harold W. Hester, Gadsden; daughters, Rebecca J. Talley, Cleveland, Tennessee, Patsy B. Dew, Southside and Shelia R. Denney, Gadsden; son, Gregory B. Wagnon, Gadsden; grandchildren, Richard Talley, Lynne Talley Campbell, Jennifer Denney, Jamie Denney, Gary Dew and Michael Wagnon; great-grand-children, Leslie Campbell, Tyler Campbell, Heather Talley, Holly Talley and Mary Bailey Dew; sisters, Biddie Breeden, Gadsden and Carrie Mae Fail, Gadsden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Michael Wagnon, Gary Dew, Richard Talley, Johnny Campbell, Greg Mayo and Jerry Maddox.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Torregosa, Dr. Robinson, Dr. Stanfield, Dr. Korn, Dr. Patel, nurses and staff of third floor of Riverview Regional Medical Center and all personal friends.
The body will remain at the funeral home and will lie-in-state for one hour prior to services at the church.
