John M. Hawley went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born to Alfred and Ella Hawley on January 26, 1927. He was married to his wife Gloria for 40 years. He attended Jefferson High School and St. Mary’s University. Mr. Hawley worked for the Wm. Cameron Co. prior to running his own homebuilding firms, Fashion Homes and John Hawley Builder. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Mr. Hawley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria; his brother, Al Hawley, Jr; and his good friend, Anna Taylor. He is survived by his daughters, Kay Sablatura and her husband, David, Nanette Heye and her husband, Anthony; his grandchildren, Lesley Sablatura, Ryan Sablatura (Lindsay), Kindall Heye; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Taryn Sablatura.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 31st at 3:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with a Visitation from 2-3 pm. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Autumn Winds for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to The Alzheimer’s Association or the American Tinnitus Association
