Albert and family were involved with 4-H for many years. He attended the 22nd Annual National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago in 1943. In 1946 he won the Jimmy Fiddler Award for the top 4-H member in Kansas, allowing him the opportunity to visit both the national 4-H camp in Jackson’s Mill, WV and Washington, DC, serving as the 4-H representative for Kansas. He also helped break ground for the Rock Springs 4-H Center.
He was known for his raising, judging, and showing of livestock. Albert lived for 68 years at his beloved Hilltop Hereford Farm raising Hereford cattle and Poland China hogs. He often sold breeding stock and show animals to fellow 4-H members. Hilltop Hereford Farm hosted livestock judging contests during the 1970’s and 1980’s. For many years he served as a ringman at county fairs for beef and swine. Albert enjoyed taking Hereford tours across the Midwest and attended major livestock events across Kansas.
Albert was a 65-year member of the Alta Vista Masonic Lodge No. 357 and member of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Alta Vista. He sang with the choir and was a soloist at many funerals.
Albert loved sports and games of croquet. He enjoyed reading, sitting and watching the Kansas landscape, and visiting with friends.

Greetings! Grandpa Albert was born at the old Morgan Farm (est. by Albert Wheeler Morgan, Albert's Grandpa, which passed to his father, Walter Albert Morgan, then to Albert's eldest brother Arthur Howard Morgan) on the north side of Humboldt Creek Rd. just east of Moss Springs Cemetery (as were his siblings) in Geary County. It was Albert Wheeler Morgan that donated a portion of his land for the cemetery and the small church that was established there before it closed and the congregation, at least Grandpa and his family, began attending church at Simpson United Methodist in Alta Vista. You can make out the very low lying foundation of that old church at the cemetery. Apparently a portion or all of that old church was incorporated into Simpson so I've heard. 1950's or 60's I believe. Thanks.
