A graduate of Thomas Downey High School in 1965. Steven was drafted into the Army. He spent two tours of duty in Vietnam where he received the Army Commendation Medal for exemplary meritorious achievement for fighting a petroleum fire.
He became a purchasing agent for Gallo Winery and owner/artist for A Touch of Brass metal sculpture in Modesto, California. He continued his path as an artist throughout his life in both Stanislaus and Tuolumne counties.
He leaves behind his son, Michael Beck (Shylo); brothers, Dan Beck (Nancy), Dennis Beck (Evelyn), and Thomas Robison (Chris); sisters, Debby Beck and Gloria Gelberman.
